Lotus 1989-2000

Lotus
What can we say about Lotus? She was our very first foster greyhound, the beginning of it all. She came to us at 18 months of age because she was more interested in playing than in chasing a lure. We always liked to say she "wasn't a career girl." She was goofy, and funny, and loveable. Like all greyhounds, she was descended from royalty and knew it—all luxuries and comforts were only what she deserved. She slept on our bed, wore a pearl necklace and home-made leopard-spotted coat, and pranced around proudly at renaissance fairs, parades, and meet-and-greets. I guess it would not be an exaggeration to say that Lotus changed our lives.
